GREENFIELD — On Saturday, Meals on Wheels will host its sixth annual Sumptuous Settings.
The fundraising event will be at Indiana Grand Casino in Shelbyville, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The program benefits Meals on Wheels, which provides hot, nutritious meals to homebound Hancock County residents.
Here’s what you need to know about the event.
1. There’s dinner and a silent auction.
The event is casual and includes dinner, a silent auction, a DJ and a wine grab. The silent auction features overnight getaways, tickets to family-friendly events, wine-tasting experiences, tickets to theaters and tickets to race — all to the highest bidder.
2. Tickets are still available.
Tickets cost $35 each and are still available for purchase. To buy a ticket, call the Meals on Wheels office at 317-477-4345. You can also purchase tickets at the office, 1133 West Main St., Suite C, in Greenfield. Tickets may be purchased with a credit card.
3. Sumptuous Settings is Meals on Wheels’ largest fundraiser.
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness about food-insecure senior citizens and disabled homebound residents. It also raises funds to provide food to those Hancock County residents.
Last year, with help from volunteers and donors, including those who attended Sumptuous Settings, Meals on Wheels provided more than 20,000 meals to Hancock County residents.
