Vickie L. Wright, 53, of Fortville, left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Christmas Day 2014. She was born in St. Louis, Mo., to Gene and Evelyn Ferguson, and graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1979.

She received her LPN nursing degree from Ivy Tech and served her community working at various hospitals and nursing homes.  She had a passion for helping the elderly and dedicated her life to serving them. Her life reflected her love for God. Vickie spent her free time enjoying her family and friends. She was just as beautiful inside as she was out.  She lived her life believing in the promise of Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Ferguson of Dillsboro, Ind.; her husband of 6 years, Jim Wright of Fortville; her children, Shane Dorman and Kelsey (Mike) Hall of Indianapolis; her three grandchildren, Paige, Alena, and Lily;  brothers, Rodney (Julie) Ferguson and Perry Ferguson (Nancy Barrott); her sister, Diane (Chuck) Bennett and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing for Vickie Wright will be held from 5-8 p.m.Tuesday, Dec. 30th, at Horizon Christian Fellowship on 7702 Indian Lake Road in Indianapolis, IN. The funeral with graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31st, at Horizon Christian Fellowship. Burial will take at place at Old Oaklandon Cemetery.

In keeping with her giving spirit, memorial contributions can be made to Horizon Christian Fellowship.
