Mary A. (O’Connor) Lacy, 77, of Greenfield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on Dec. 12, 1936, to Patrick and Cecilia (Manning) O'Connor. Mary married Richard Lacy on May 10, 1960 in Indianapolis at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Mary enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family and seven grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and baking.
Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Lacy of Greenfield; sons, Jeff (Mary) Lacy of Granger, Ind., Steven (Kristy) Lacy of Dallas, Texas, David (Carrie) Lacy of Wilkinson, Ind., and Andrew Lacy of Greenfield; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 515 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, IN 46140 with viewing one hour prior to the service. Msgr. William Stumpf will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
