Sue (Edwards) Baker, 81, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014, at ManorCare at Summer Trace in Carmel, Ind. She was born on June 23, 1932, in Greenfield as the daughter of Horace L. and Leona (Schneider) Edwards. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1950. She married James E. Baker.
Mrs. Baker was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She was the registrar for many years for the Brandywine Creek Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed genealogy, Hancock County history books, regional histories, and was a free-lance writer.
She is survived by her son, Jeff Baker of Greenfield; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baker; parents, Horace L and Leona (Schneider) Edwards; son, Dan Baker; and sister, Dottie Jones
A Committal Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014, at Park Cemetery. Msgr. William Stumpf will be officiating.
