Kathleen “Kathy” Marie (Mithoefer) Wilson, 55, of New Palestine, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born on March 10, 1958, in Greenfield, the daughter of Julius and Lucile (Lueckert) Mithoefer. She graduated from New Palestine High School in 1976.
Kathy most recently worked at Colors Inc. as an Office Manager and also worked at Hall and House Lumber Company for 35 years. She was a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church and also the New Palestine UMW.
Kathy was an avid IU Hoosiers and Indianapolis Colts fan. She enjoyed gardening, reading, walking and biking. Most of all, Kathy was a loving, caring woman who loved and prayed for her family. Spending time with her grandchildren was her special delight. She devoted many hours to her work, and the work the Lord laid upon her heart. She touched many lives with her giving heart, her smile and her hearty laugh.
She is survived by her son, Chris (Heather) Means; daughter, Heather Wilson; siblings, Daniel (Loretta) Mithoefer, Deborah (Richard) Larew, and Dean (Serita) Mithoefer; grandchildren, Blake, Tyler, Drew Ann, Avery; boyfriend, Steve Rice; six nieces and nephews; and 11 great -nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; one nephew; and one great- nephew.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 S. 500 W., New Palestine, IN 46163, with a funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. Pastor Mark Wesler will be officiating.
