Donnie K. Neal
Donnie K. Neal, 61, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, in Tipton, Ind. He was born April 16, 1952, in Elwood, Ind. the son of Homer and Alice (Mikel) Neal.
He graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1971.
He worked for Guide Corporation of Anderson as a Paint Operator, and retired after 24 years of service. Donnie was a member of UAW #663 and a former member of the American Legion and F.O.P. of Greenfield. Donnie was an avid Colts, IU basketball and Baltimore Orioles fan. In his free time, he enjoyed doing yard work, helping others and being part of the G.O.P.
He is survived by his loving companion of 23 years, Brenda Murray; Brenda’s daughters, Annette Murray and Jennie Ellis; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ellis all of Tipton; brothers, Ken Marcum of Sacramento, Calif., Lee (Carole) Marcum of Lexington, Ky. and Paul (Barbara) Neal of Greenfield; sisters, Louise “Boots” (Vermont) Curtis of Indianapolis, Betty (Benny) Spangler of Monticello, Ky. and Kathy (Dean) Ferge of McCordsville; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Donnie was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Holly and Brandi Neal; siblings, Raymond Marcum, Jerry Neal, Ricky Neal and Darlene Neal.
Visitation will be from 3 – 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m.Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, also at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
