Patty D. Lawrence, 73, of Fortville, died Saturday, July 6, 2013, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 27, 1939, in Halfway, Ky., to the late Bradford and Lola (Smith) Oliver.
Patty is survived by her husband, Joe, whom she married on June 22, 1957, in Halfway, Ky; sons, Marc D. (Tammy) Lawrence of Fortville and Matthew D. (Delores) Lawrence of Bloomington; daughters Michele D. (Greg) Anderson of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Veldon Oliver of Greenfield; and numerous cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Monte D. Lawrence; brother, Weldon Oliver; and sisters, Leopha Hearn and Betty House.
Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. A celebration of Patty’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
