M. Alma Zimmerman
M. Alma Zimmerman, 97, Beech Grove, passed away Monday July 1, 2013. She was born in New Albany, Ind. on January 8, 1916, to Frank and Flora Ackerman Eckert.
Alma was an active member of St. Roch Catholic Church for over 70 years and was active in the Ave Maria Guild.
She is survived by her children, Larry (Susan), James, Joseph (Diane), and Ken (Teresa) Zimmerman, Joyce (Edwin) Teagardin, Marilyn (David) Hercamp, and Susan (Craig) Beveridge; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Gervase A. Zimmerman on October 9, 1996.
Visitation will be from 2 – 5 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013, at St. Paul Hermitage. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday July 5, 2013, in St. Roch Church with visitation there on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
