Betty R. Sauer, 88, passed away on Dec. 21, 2012. She was born on Oct. 23, 1924, in Cannelburg, Ind. She was the daughter of W. Lawrence and Margaret (Arvin) Jones.
Betty married Eugene A. Sauer on May 7, 1947, in Montgomery, Ind. She worked for Stokely Van Camp in Indianapolis. Betty was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield and was active in the St. Vincent DePaul Society before her husband’s death.
Surviving her are her children, Diane (Rick) Brow of Greenfield, Jeff (Lisa) Sauer of Greenfield, Paula (Jack) Bates of Bloomington, and Larry (Alice Aull-Sauer) Sauer of Indianapolis; siblings, Mary and Tom; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; and siblings, Max, Bill, Pearl, Pauline, and Eileen.
Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Indianapolis.
