Helen Bolander, 92, of Fortville, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born Nov. 6, 1919, in Indiana, to Aaron and Myrtle (McKinstray) Sylvester.
Helen is survived by husband, Stuart H. Bolander, whom she married March 23, 1940; daughters, Mary Beth (Tom) Flanagan and Jane Ann Blanton (Dave Garst); grandchildren, Kelly (Jerry) Stokesbary, Kimberly (Brendan) Hartnett, Craig (Sara) Blanton and Scott Blanton; six great-grandchildren; a niece; and several great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Dillman; a great-granddaughter; sister-in-law; brother-in-law; and in-laws.
Friends called from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery Chapel with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial followed.
