Bert Armstrong, 65, of New Palestine, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012. Born Aug. 6, 1946, a son of Vera (Eby) and the late William Armstrong of Lyons, Ohio.
He was the owner for 35 years of Armstrong & Son Hauling, New Palestine. A member of the New Palestine United Methodist Church, and former member of the New Palestine Lions Club.
Survivors include wife, Mary Armstrong, New Palestine; son, Greg Armstrong, New Palestine; daughters, Shelley James, New Palestine, and Robin (Jason) Lewis, New Palestine; sisters, Dorothy (Carl) Lorenz, Kokomo, Ind., Carol (Dave) Niese, Stryker, Ohio, Shirley (Don) Zimmerman, Wauseon, Ohio, and Lue (Don) Hostetler, Arcanum, Ohio; brothers, Bill (Sandra), Bus (Dianne) Armstrong, of Wauseon, Ohio; grandchildren, Samantha, Danielle, Jason II, Jeffrey, Austyn Lewis, all of New Palestine, Lilly Armstrong of New Palestine, Shian and Anthony Saks, Camby, Ind.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012, at New Palestine United Methodist Church, 3565 South 500 West, New Palestine, with JT Thomas and Steve Harding officiating. Calling will be at the church from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2012. Burial will follow at New Palestine Cemetery New Palestine, Ind.
