Mass (Mack) Mullins, 76, a long-term resident of Greenfield, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 2, 2012. He was born on June 11, 1935, in Happy, Ky. to the late Jim & Nova (Sloan) Mullins.

 He moved to Greenfield in 1955, following service in the United States Air Force, and remained until his death. He worked a short time as a volunteer reserve for the Greenfield Police Department in the early 1970’s. His primary occupation was Foreman at Arvin Industries (Formally Roll Coater, Inc., Greenfield) where he retired in 1995.

 He had many hobbies including horseshoe pitching & bowling. A passionate golfer, he enjoyed decades of long summer afternoons with his friends at Arrowhead Golf Course in Greenfield. His lifelong hobby was playing guitar, often playing Gospel and Bluegrass music for local nursing homes and churches. Throughout his life, he formed several local Bluegrass music bands as lead singer, rhythm guitar player and songwriter.

 A devoted father and husband, he is survived by Geraldine (Sandlin) Mullins, his wife of 57 years; his four children, Donald M. Mullins, Timothy W. Mullins, Debra J. Runion (Mullins) and Tonya F. Theobald (Mullins) of Greenfield; brother Selton (Bud) Mullins of Purcell, Okla., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 He was preceded in death by his mother & father Jim & Nova (Sloan) Mullins; four brothers, Alger (Al), James, Tim & Harry.

 Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 6th at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel in Carrollton, IN. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 7th with procession and graveside committal following the service. Pastor’s Larry Herd & Ronnie West will be officiating.
