Sandra K. Adkison, age 65, of Greenfield, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012. Born on March 31, 1946, in Beech Grove, she was the daughter of William J. and Doris A. (Miles) Graves.
Sandra married Richard Adkison on Feb. 27, 1966, in Wanamaker, and they were married for 47 years. During that time, she worked for 17 years in the housekeeping department at Hancock Regional Hospital. Sandra attended Park Chapel Christian Church and enjoyed fishing and shopping.
Surviving her are her husband, Richard Adkison of Greenfield; son, R. David (Missy) Adkison of Greenfield; daughter, Tabatha (Carl) Kingsbury of Greenfield; siblings, Wyllo Sanders of Greenwood, Glenda Stockhoff of Indianapolis, Pat Combs of Greenwood, Judy Karnes of Ariz., Wanda Kelley of Greenfield, and Debra Harrison of Greenwood; grandchildren, Thor, Austin, Alexxys, Mychaela, Sarah, and Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Mary Strahl; and infant brothers, Larry and Jerry Graves.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Visitation will take place from11 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton.
