Betty J. Murphy, 79, of Centerville, died on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011 at Ambassador Health Care in Centerville, Ind. The daughter of the late Edward G. and Mary M. (Frantom) White, Betty was born on Feb. 28, 1932 in Sylvania, Ohio.
Survivors include her son, Stephen D. (Phyllis) Murphy of Economy, Ind.; daughter, Mary J. (Scott) Franklin of Greenfield; companion of 28 years, Herschel Harvey; brother, Albert White of Toledo, Ohio; and sister, Evelyn Sabo of Atlanta, Texas.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Fredrick R. Murphy; daughter, Marilyn VanBuskirk; and 2 grandsons.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011 at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home in Dublin, Ind. Burial will follow at the Jacksonburg Cemetery.
