Bruce E. Prange, age 57, died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born on Feb. 7, 1954 in Beech Grove, he was the son of Harold and Joan (Lindsteadt) Prange.

He graduated from New Palestine High School in 1972. He married Paula (Bonnell) Prange on August 26, 1978.

Bruce worked as a farmer in New Palestine and Wanamaker for his whole life, raising corn, soybeans, and hogs. He was a very active member of Zion United Church of Christ in Indianapolis, Hancock County Plat Committee, Future Farmers of America, and past president of the Hancock County Farm Bureau.

Surviving him are his wife, Paula Prange; daughters, Laura Prange of Indianapolis, Sarah (Jason) Kirlin of New Palestine, Martha Prange of Indianapolis, Emma (Ryan) Nelson of Logansport; father, Harold Prange of New Palestine; sister, Diana Fenter of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Audrey and Ethan Kirlin; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death was his mother, Joan Prange.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion United Church of Christ, 8916 E. Troy Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46239, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Bev Kahle will be officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis.
