Margaret Grace Lanham, 85, of Fortville, passed away on April 13, 2011 at home. She was born July 30, 1925 to the late Asprey J. and Elsie M. (Mills) Jones in Birmingham, England.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fortville Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 149 and the Fortville Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence R. Lanham, who she married Oct. 7, 1944; children, Judy A. Kitley of Fortville, Clarence “Rick” (Vera) Lanham, III of Madison, Ind., Mark W. Lanham of Fortville, and Tracy J. Clift of Fortville; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchilden; and Ernest D. and Ronald Jones, both of Birmingham, England.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Terri L. Salinas in 1998 and brother Jack A. Jones.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 15, 2011, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
