Jack Marion Lee, 78, Flat Rock, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011, at Community Hospital East, Indianapolis. He was born in Indianapolis on Jan. 20, 1932, to the late Benjamin Lee and Nellie Mae (Shaw) Lee. He Married Betty Roberta (Neely) Lee on Feb. 14, 1953, at the Tuxedo Baptist Church in Indianapolis.

Jack was employeed as a painter for 47 years with Painters Union retiring in 1993. He was a member of Crossroad Community Church in Shelbyville, and Masonic Lodge #669 in Indianapolis. Jack was 3 time Speedrome Champion and was known to his racing fans and friends as "Ruff and Tumble Jack Lee". Jack was also a 1986 Speedrome Hall of Fame Inductee.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Roberta (Neely) Lee, Flat Rock; son, Duane E. (Mary E.) Lee, Greenfield; daughters, Jackie K. (Skyler) Webster, Bebring Fla. and Karen S. (Danny) Hammer, Fairland, Ind.; sister, Kate Bright, Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Jason Lee, Megan Lee, Mallory Lee, Justin (Morgan) Hammer and Jacob Hammer; three great-grandchildren, Deyton Smith, Alyson and Ashlynn Smith; and several neices and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob, William Burl and Wilbur Earl Lee; and sister, Alice Taylor.

Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at the funeral home eith Rev. Andy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Boggstown Cemetery in Boggstwon, Ind.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Community Home and Health Hospice and Alzheimers Association in c/o with Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home.
