The Dog Days of Summer occur between the beginning of July through about the second week of August. It’s the height of summer—the weather is hot and humid, mosquitos are out in full force, and it’s often too hot to walk Yogi, my parents’ adorable Goldendoodle, unless it’s early morning or late evening.

Mary Ellen is extremely concerned about all the identity theft and is urging me to change my passwords. I’m the worst at thinking of new passwords and worse at remembering them and even worse at recalling where I hid them. I don’t think things could get much worser.

We are enjoying the aftermath of an all-grandkid weekend: fatigue, muscle cramps and a blue bucket filled with cicada shells by the back door. We will rebound shortly. Thanksgiving sounds about right.
