MCCORDSVILLE – McCordsville Elementary School fifth-grade students took a charitable twist on Halloween with a “Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat” project.

Students in Heather Smigielski’s class designed flyers informing the community about homelessness and how to help solve the issue. They attached the flyers to grocery bags and shared the bags with friends and family.

Their filled bags were recently donated to the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen.
