GREENFIELD — A local family is asking the public’s help in raising money for a Greenfield recovery house.
Asher’s Run for Recovery, a Facebook group created by the mother of a local boy whose traumatic story of accidental drug intake led to a recently approved Indiana law about parenting rights, created a GoFundMe page to collect money for the Talitha Koum Women’s Recovery House in Greenfield.
The Facebook group, managed by Jennifer Trattner, mother to 2-year-old Asher, is also selling “Justice for Asher” T-shirts, and a portion of the revenue will go to Talitha Koum.
The recovery house needs to purchase a 12-passenger van so employees can transfer their clients to and from appointments and work, Trattner said.
Trattner hopes to eventually raise money for other recovery houses across the state.
