Salvation Army kettle campaign starting up

HANCOCK COUNTY — Salvation Army Hancock County will launch its annual Red Kettle campaign on Saturday.

Bell ringers will stand outside Needler’s Market in New Palestine and Kroger and Walmart in Greenfield on Nov. 24, according to a news release. 

The nonprofit has distributed over $19,000 in the first three quarters of 2018 to Hancock County families. Fourth quarter is consistently high, putting the church-based organization on target to provide nearly $30,000 in assistance this year, the release states. The Salvation Army has served 339 local clients.

There are two-hour Red Kettle campaign slots open from noon to 8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Bell ringers can serve Thursday through Saturday in New Palestine and Monday through Saturday in Greenfield.
