Rosalie Kay Smith, 85, died on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Woodside Hospice, Pinellas Park, Fla. Born on June 23, 1925, to Lawrence and ‘Bessie’ Thompson.
Rosalie is survived by her sister, Delores Cavanaugh of Lafayette; her children, Ellen Streich of St. Petersburg, Fla., David Smith of Valparaiso, Leslie Smith of Anderson, Doug Smith of Seminole, Fla., and Becky Pierson of Seminole, Fla.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Smith.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1199 Highland Avenue, Largo, Fla. Gathering will be from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. and funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Reception following at Seminole Elks, 10717 Seminole Blvd., Seminole, Fla.
Monetary donations should be directed to St. Paul United Methodist Sanctuary Choir. Flowers are also welcomed and will be shared with the St. Paul's hospital Ministry program.
