Dorothy Marie Raffaelli, 77, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital. She was born April 25, 1936, in Hancock, Mich., to the late Emery and Edith (Perry) Ruelle.
Dorothy was a graduate of Hancock High School and St. Josephs Nursing School and retired from Hancock Memorial Hospital after 30 years of service as a registered nurse. Dorothy married Joseph F. Raffaelli on Feb. 15, 1958. She loved her large family get togethers, spoiling her grandchildren and fun at the casinos with friends.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Joseph of Greenfield; sons, Marc (Chris) Raffaelli of Greenfield, Mike (Kim) Raffaelli of Greenfield and Anthony (Brenda) Raffaelli of Kokomo; daughters, Pamela (Sonny) Wildfong of Goodrich, Mich. and Lisa Hutchinson of New Palestine; brothers, Emery Ruelle, Fred Ruelle, of Wisc., Robert Ruelle of Mich.; sister, Sharon Buckna also of Wisc.; son-in law, Randy Martin of Shirley; 25 grandchildren and six great -grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Cheryl Martin in 2013.
Friends may call from 4-8p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd., Greenfield, with Father William Stumpf officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
