Hatfield Camp Meeting begins Monday

CLEVELAND — The annual John T. Hatfield Camp Meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Monday and continues at 7:30 p.m. daily through July 24 at the campground on U.S. 40 at County Road 850 East. (The address is 137 N. County Road 850E, Greenfield.)

The Rev. David Fulton will be the evangelist. The Whitaker Family will share music.

The meetinghouse is cooled by ceiling fans and by propped-open windows and doors.

Services on July 25 will start at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Cub Scouts plan car wash

GREENFIELD — Cub Scout Pack 242 will have a car wash from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenfield Fire Territory’s Station 422, located at 210 W. New Road. The pack is sponsored by Trinity Park United Methodist Church.

Community breakfast is July 17

McCORDSVILLE — The next community breakfast at McCordsville United Methodist Church is set for 7:30 to 10 a.m. July 17 at the church, 6247 W. Broadway, McCordsville.

The meal, sponsored by the church’s United Methodist Men, features various breakfast favorites. Free-will donations are accepted.

Blood drive is July 18

GREENFIELD — St. James Lutheran Church will have a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 18 at the church, 1741 S. State St. Walk-ins are welcome.

Brookville Road church plans blood drive

NEW PALESTINE — Brookville Road Community Church plans a blood drive from 1:45 to 7 p.m. July 22. The Versiti bloodmobile will be in the parking lot of the church, 7480 W. U.S. 52.

Gateway serving meal Monday

FORTVILLE — Gateway Community Church offers a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mondays in Landmark Park, 201 E. Staat. St., for anyone who wants to come.

Hotdogs, chips and drinks are served. Games and activities will be available for children.

Brown’s Chapel plans sports camp

GREENFIELD — Brown’s Chapel Wesleyan Church plans Kids’ Sports Camp for kindergarten through fifth grade. It meets from 9 a.m. to noon July 19-23 at the church, 994 N. County Road 600E.

Children can participate in soccer, basketball, flag football, ninja warrior training, capture the flag, dodgeball and kickball.

Mercy Road plans sports camp

FORTVILLE — Mercy Road Church Northeast will offer Ballapalooza, a sports camp for kindergarten through fifth grade.

It meets from 9 a.m. to noon July 20-22. Participants will play four different sports throughout the week, hear messages about God, and worship together.

Cost is $15, which includes a t-shirt, snacks and supplies for the event.

Pantry could use peanut butter, canned goods

FORTVILLE — Fortville Area Resource Mission distributes food in a drive-thru format from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays outside Fortville Christian Church, 9450 N. County Road 200W.

Items that would be particularly helpful to donate include canned soup, canned chicken, peanut butter, boxed macaroni and cheese, canned fruit, canned vegetables and boxed dessert mixes.

You can drop off needed items in the entry breezeway of Fortville Christian Church at any time during the week.
