NEW PALESTINE — New Palestine American Legion Post 182 donated an automated external defibrillator to the New Palestine Lions in appreciation for their partnership in playing host to Legion events.

The announcement of the $2,000 donation comes as the post made a decision to move its gaming activities from the Lions Club building in New Palestine to Adaggio’s Banquet Hall on Mt. Comfort Road near U.S. 40. Post officials said the move will offer more convenient parking and easier access.

The move will also alleviate the inconveniences caused by the recent road work in town, including at the intersection of County Road 500W and U.S 52 and on U.S. 52 just east of Mt. Comfort Road.

The post said it was proud of all the improvements and upgrades to the Lions Club property made during its stay, a number of which it supported financially.
