Hog roast is today

MOHAWK — A community hog roast is set for 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 27) at Mohawk United Methodist Church, 2045 N. County Road 400W, Greenfield.

The menu features pulled pork, baked beans, coleslaw, applesauce, chips, and cherry and apple cobbler.

Football coach to address church

MT. COMFORT — Harvest Church features a sermon series on Family Life this month. Mt. Vernon football coach Mike Kirschner will be the featured speaker Sunday. All are welcome to this event.

Fish fry benefits home ministry

INDIANAPOLIS — Irvington Presbyterian Church Fish Fry returns during the Irvington Fall Festival. Food service including carryout is available from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 27) under the big tent at 55 Johnson Ave., Indianapolis.

Ala carte menus will include fish, hot dogs, side dishes, soft drinks and pie.

The Fish Fry benefits a church project through Faith Ministries of McAllen, Texas, in which volunteers help build basic homes for the needy in Reynosa, Mexico.

Conference focuses on prophecy

GREENFIELD — Bible Prophecy Conference begins Sunday at Victory Baptist Church, 3982 W. U.S. 40.

Chili supper to help families at Thanksgiving

WILKINSON — Righteous Oaks Baptist Church’s ninth annual free chili supper is set for 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at the church, 8356 N. State Road 109.

Donations will be accepted and used to buy Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. The church is also gathering gently used winter clothing.

Faith Lutheran plans Germanfest

GREENFIELD — Germanfest runs from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 27) at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 W. McKenzie Road, Greenfield.

The event is a fundraiser for Faith Lutheran Preschool. Children from the preschool will sing in the Fellowship Hall at 7 p.m. that day.

Tickets are available at the door at $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 6 to 12 and $2 for children ages 3 to 5. Children 2 and younger do not need a ticket.

KNIGHTSTOWN — Revival services are set for 6 p.m. nightly Sunday through Wednesday at Knightstown Church of God, 405 E. North St., Knightstown.

Reformation celebration features music, food

NEW PALESTINE — A Musicfest celebrating the Reformation starts at 5 p.m. Sunday at Cross of Grace Lutheran Church, 3519 S. County Road 600W, New Palestine. It features music from the church’s bands, choirs and handbells.

An Oktoberfest celebration with German foods and beer begins at 6 p.m. The annual “Hold ‘Em For Haiti” card tournament, where people can play poker or euchre for $25 per person, begins at 7.

Money raised from the tournament goes to support the church’s mission and ministry in Fondwa, Haiti.
