Joseph P “Joe” Willis, 86, of Markleville, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional.

He was born November 11, 1931, in Henry County to the late, Lester & Gladys (Thompson) Willis.

Joe farmed most of his life, but he also worked for Delco Remy for 31 years. After retirement he worked almost 20 years at Harvest Land. He was a 50-year member of the Shirley Masonic Lodge #531 F & AM and the New Castle Order of the Eastern Star.

Joe is survived by his daughters, Donna (husband, Mike) Smith, Vickie (husband, Ed) Manifold, and Janice (husband, Carl) Reynolds; grandchildren, Joel (wife, Amy) Smith, AJ (wife, Lauren) Smith, Nickie (husband, Marc) Reddick, Herb (wife, Tashina) Manifold, Heather (husband, Rodney) Williams, Sabrina (husband, Josh) Miller; great grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, Mason, Jaxson, Joey, Nicole, Addison, Sammy, & Callie; siblings, Ruth Loar, Roy (wife, Martha) Willis, Laura Willis, Jerry (wife, Mary) Willis, Denzil (wife, Marcia) Willis, David (wife, Pat) Willis, & Jerome (wife, Karen) Willis; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Virginia “Ginny” (Martin) Willis; siblings, Robert Willis, Sam Willis, & Eleanor Rumler.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, with Darrell Miller officiating. Burial will be at Curry’s Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 7 p.m.
