GREENFIELD
Evelyn Tanner, 96, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018.
She was born Novem- ber 15, 1921, in Knightstown, to the late George & Mildred (Davis) Jackson.
Known lovingly as “Auntie” by her family, Evie leaves a legacy of laughter and blessings to those who were blessed to love her. She retired from Delco Remy after 30 years. Evie was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ & a 50-year member of the Order of The Eastern Star. She loved puzzles, word searches, and adored playing with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her great-nieces, Shantelle (husband, Andy) Ebbert & Alisha (husband, Giuseppe) Cavaletto; nieces & nephew, Shirley Lewman, Linda Jack, Peggy Altoff, Phillip Tanner, Darla Hoffman, Rosemary Noah, & Gloria Besicker; and several great- and great-greatnieces and nephews. Evie was preceded in death by her husband, Freemont Tanner; brother, Edward Jackson; sister, Maxine Bever; niece, Linda (Bever) Brown; and nephew, Larry Jackson.
The New Castle Chapter #116 Order of The Easter Star will conduct services at noon Friday, April 6, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson, followed by funeral services with John Skomp officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
