Adult craft club to meet

NEW PALESTINE – At the request of library patrons, the new adult craft club will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Sugar Creek Branch of the Hancock County Public Library, 5087 W. Paint at the orchard

GREENFIELD — Enjoy a morning of exploring your creative side with an apple painting on Feb. 24 at Tuttle Orchards, 5717 N. County Road 300W. The kids session for ages 6 to 12 will take place from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. Tickets for the kids’ session are $20; the adult session, which takes place from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. costs $25. Tickets are limited to first 25 participants. Finished projects will be on 5 x 7” canvases using acrylic paint. This painting class is led by Indianapolis artist Jessica Green. Class participants will be treated to Tuttles’ famous apple cider and delicious cookies. Tickets can be purchased at squareup.com/store/tuttlesevents.

Family Search Genealogy Class uses online database

GREENFIELD – People interested in researching family history can explore FamilySearch, the largest genealogical database in the world, from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Hancock County Public Library, 900 W. McKenzie Road. Many FamilySearch records are available for free online. Hancock County Genealogist Paul McNeil will be on hand to cover the basics of using this resource. He’ll discuss creating an account, building a family tree, searching records, and using the learning center for general reference assistance.
