Love INC annual banquet slated

GREENFIELD — Love INC’s annual Love Thy Neighbor banquet is set for 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Park United Methodist Church, 207 W. Park Ave., Greenfield.

It will feature a complimentary taco and nacho bar provided by Don Rigo’s Restaurant.

Guest speaker will be Jayme Whitaker, an Indiana artist who shares his journey that includes time in foster homes and correctional facilities.

The event is free; several local businesses are sponsoring the event. Register to reserve a seat at 317-468-6300. Donations will be accepted to support Love INC’s ministry.

Women’s event coming to Outlook

McCORDSVILLE — IF: Gathering is a women’s event set for 6 to 9 p.m. March 2 and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 3. Organizers say it “celebrates the ways God moves through the little things nobody sees to spread his gospel,” according to the church’s website.

This free event is open to all women.

McCordsville church to serve soup at dinner

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church’s next community dinner is set for 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 13) at the church, 6247 W. Broadway.

It will feature soups, sandwiches, a salad bar and desserts. A free-will offering will be accepted.

Love INC gathering items for needy families

HANCOCK COUNTY — Families are not able to get cleaning supplies and paper products with food stamps. Love INC’s H2O ministries provide these items for families that are referred and scheduled through the Love INC Clearinghouse. A group of volunteers at Realife Church, at St. James Lutheran in Greenfield and at Fortville Church of the Nazarene meet with the families to assist with their needs.

The ministry could use more of the following items: paper towels, tissues, laundry soap, dryer sheets, all-purpose cleaner, baby wipes, mouthwash and diapers.

You can drop items off on weekday mornings at the Love INC office, 737 W. Green Meadows Drive, Suite 2200. Or take them to Realife, 971 U.S. 40 West, Mondays through Thursdays.

Christian motorcycle riders gather together

GREENFIELD — Members of the Crossroad Riders, the Greenfield chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, meet at 9 a.m. the third Saturday of most months at Jim Dandy restaurant and also gather in warmer months to enjoy rides together.
