GREENFIELD — Local law enforcement is investigating a Friday morning crash that left a teen in intensive care.

A 17-year-old driver needed to be cut from his car after it flipped near the intersection of Remarkable Drive and McKenzie Road Friday around 7:15 a.m., officials said.

The teen was traveling eastbound on West McKenzie Road when his vehicle went off the south side of the roadway into a field and overturned.

The teen was transported to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital via helicopter and is in the intensive care unit, officials said.

The crash is still under investigation.
