Margaret Darlene Warner, 89, of New Castle, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Heritage House of New Castle.

She was born on March 21, 1928 in St. Marys, Ohio, a daughter of the late Tilden A. and Grace L. (Kiser) Lipp.

Margaret graduated from Wilkinson High School in 1946. She married her wonderful husband, Homer Warner, on May 2, 1947 at the United Methodist Church in Willow Branch. Margaret was a member of the Foursquare Gospel Church in New Castle, served as Secretary/Treasurer of the Straughn Brotherhood and Sisterhood and was a member of the Straughn Birthday Club. She was a house parent at the Children’s Home in Knightstown and a homemaker for her own family. Margaret enjoyed playing cards and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Gilda (husband: Mark) Hubbell of Lewisville and Duretta (husband: Robert) Garrett of Oakville; a son, Gregory (wife: Redawna) Warner of Greenfield; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and a sister, Lana K. Harsh.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Warner in 2002; son, James Michael Warner in 2013 and brother-in-law, Charles Harsh in 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.

Friend may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be offered to Foursquare Gospel Church or the Mike Warner Scholarship at Henry County Community Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home. You may leave the family a personal condolence at www.sprolesfamilycares.com.
