GREENFIELD — State Sen. Mike Crider has officially launched his campaign for Congress.

Crider, who represents Hancock County in the state Senate, seeks to replace Rep. Luke Messer, who plans to run for United States Senate, as Indiana’s sixth district congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Before being elected to the Indiana Senate in 2012, Crider spent 30 years working as an officer for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
