NEW HOPE, PA
William D. McKeeman of New Hope, PA and formerly of Greenfield, IN died peacefully at home on August 10, 2017. He is survived by his wife, Lois, also of New Hope; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Gene O’Fallon of Charleston, SC; grandsons, Collin and Chase Pfaff and stepgrandchildren, Caitlyn, Gene Jr, and Molly O’Fallon.
He is predeceased by his daughter, Sandra.
Bill spent his entire working career at Eli Lilly Co. He was an avid sports enthusiast and an ardent supporter of women’s athletics. He was a beloved coach of a women’s softball team for over 15 years and was known for his coaching wisdom and perspective shared during practices, games and team meetings. He will be remembered fondly for his dry, spontaneous and unpredictable wit, and he will be cherished for his selfless and often discreet acts of kindness.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Myeloproliferative Neoplasms Research Foundation. Donations can be made online (www.mpnresearchfoundation.org) and designated as a gift in memory of Bill.
A memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Park Chapel, Greenfield, IN. Friends may call at 10:00 am, and the service will follow at 11:00 am.
