Police activity closes U.S. 40

GREENFIELD — Local police have blocked U.S. 40 while attempting to serve a warrant at a local motel.

Officers from the Hancock County SWAT team surrounded the Shamrock Motel, located in the 5200 block of West U.S. 40, Friday afternoon to make an arrest, according to police scanner traffic.

All lanes of U.S. 40 were closed near the motel just after 5 p.m. while officers were in the area.
