FOUNTAINTOWN
David Ray Bentley, 55, of Fountaintown, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017. He was born on April 30, 1962, in Tipton, IN, as the son of David Edgar Bentley and Roberta (Rush) Hathaway.
David graduated from Tipton High School in 1980 and received his Associates Degree from Ivy Tech Community College. He married Shannon (Seaton) on July 20, 1996, in Fountaintown.
He currently worked for Tsuda in Greenfield for several years and he also worked for Ryobi in Shelbyville for over 20 years. David loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and being outdoors.
David is survived by his wife, Shannon Bentley of Fountaintown; father, David (Alta Ruth) Bentley of Oklahoma; mother, Roberta Hathaway of Georgia; daughters, April (Ryan) Morgan of Mooresville, IN, Megan (Joe) Green of Noblesville, IN, Jennifer (Josh Hadley) Bentley of Waldron, IN and Taylor Bentley of Fountaintown; siblings, Derrick Bentley of South Carolina, Jack Marshall of Arizona, Johnny (Debbi) Marshall of South Carolina, Cassandra (Greg) Summers of Georgia, Victor Bentley of Noblesville, IN, Michelle Higgins of Noblesville, IN and Jeffrey K. Jacks of Oklahoma; mother-in-law, Vickie (Duane Seaton) Lockridge of Shelbyville; and seven grandchildren, Gavin Bertram, Michelle Green, Averi Morgan, Aiden Rush, Oryan Hadley, Ellie Green and Briella Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Harry Seaton; grandparents, James and Edna Rush and Mary Alice Bentley and Chester James Bentley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary.
