Joann Shook, 89, of DuQuoin, IL, passed away on July 18, 2017, at the Marshall Browning Hospital in
DuQuoin, IL.
She was born October 29, 1927, in DuQuoin, the daughter of William and Gladys (Fritz)
Hargett. Joann Married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Shook in 1947. Bob and Joann lived in
Greenfield for thirty years, and owned and operated “Bob Shook Oil Company”. Bob preceded her in
death in 1990.
Joann is survived by sons, Robert “Bud” Shook of DuQuoin, Steve Shook of Chicago, Illinois, daughters,
Beth Kohrman of Chicago, Illinois, Bonnie Baker of Pendleton, Indiana, Barbara Shook of DuQuoin,
eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service held on September 16, 2017 in DuQuoin, Illinois in her honor.
