VFW post reschedules ribbon-cutting celebration

GREENFIELD — Local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post leaders have changed the date for a celebration to unveil their newly renovated post.

The organization is planning a ribbon-cutting ceremony for July 29, pushed back from July 22, to celebrate completed renovations of its post at 529 Apple St.

Post leaders will provide sandwiches, chips and soft drinks to visitors who stop by to see the post from noon to 5 p.m. It also will offer alcoholic drink specials.

The event is open to the public.
