Max R. Manche, 87, of Columbus, Ohio, died Monday June 26, 2017, at the Heartland of Dublin and is now with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Max was born on July 23, 1929 in Carthage and was a graduate of the Carthage High School Class of ’47.

He is survived by his wife, of 32 years, Judith A. (Beach) Manche; children, Craig (Diane) Manche, Lynn (Jason) Call, and Carol-Lynn Manche; stepchildren, Mark (Vickie) Pifer and Lisa (Bob) Kannal; grandchildren, Isabel and Luke Manche, Taylor, Presley and Zane Call, Brandie, Ashley and Clay Pifer, Bobby and Mike Kannal; great-grandchildren, Neven, Erin, Rowan and Corbin Kannal; sister, Bonnie (Charlie) Roland; brother, Ross (Bonnie) Manche; sister-in-law, Cheryl DiGuillo; many nieces, nephews, and friends and his four-legged love Zoey.

Max is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; sister, Rosemary; brother, Lawrence and his parents, Raymond and Mabel (Miner) Manche.

He retired after 25 years with Massey-Ferguson, 10 years with Air Filter Service, 10 years as a bus driver with Dublin Public School System.

Max was a member of the Worthington United Methodist Church, a member and 2-time president of the Worthington Shrine Club, Past Member and Commander of the Legion of Honor, member of University Lodge No. 631, F&AM and a member of the AASR Valley of Columbus Scottish Rite. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict and recently participated in the Honor Flight.

Friends may call on Sunday July 2, 2017, at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St Worthington from 3pm to 6pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday July 3, 2017, at 10am. Entombment at Union Cemetery to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation in Max’s memory be made to the Shriner’s Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
