Christopher “Chris” Curry, 28, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017, at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on March 27, 1989, in Greenfield as the son of Charles “Chuck” and Cheryl (Ramsey) Curry.
He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 2008. Chris received his associate’s degree from Lincoln College of Technology in 2010.
He worked for Coy Landscaping for several years as a foreman. Chris was a member of the Indianapolis Downtown Optimist Club, and he was the official Easter Bunny every year for Clothe a Child. He liked working in the yard, interior and exterior design and loved spending time with his friends and family.
Chris is survived by his parents, Chuck and Cheryl Curry; son, Finnley Olin; sisters, Mandy (Daryn) Montgomery of Mooresville, Ind., and Courtney (Todd) Baumann of Indianapolis; grandparents, Phil and Jan Ramsey of Wilkinson, and Carlton Curry of Indianapolis; niece, Avery; four nephews, Trent, Preston, Spencer and Mason; special uncle, Jeff Ramsey of Woodstock, Ga.; and aunt, Kim Curry of Indianapolis.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ann Curry.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 12, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 13, also at the mortuary. Ken Loudenback will be officiating. Interment will be at a later date at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
