Ivan D. Kemerly
Ivan D. Kemerly, 82, of Greenfield, died on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Community North Hospital. Born on December 8, 1934, in Mt. Comfort, as the son of Ransom K. and Elsie I. (Land) Kemerly.
Ivan is survived by his children, Vickie (Bryan) Harper of Corydon, Ind.; Terri Kemerly of Highland Heights, Debbie (Todd) Kemper of Escondido, Cali., Cheryl (Bob) Yarnell of Camby, Ind. and Joe (Bambi) Kemerly of Greenfield; sisters, Evalyn Beedle and Faye McGinnis of both of Greenfield; brother, Robert (Margaret) Kemerly of Indianapolis; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Virginia L. Kemerly; brother, Kenneth Kemerly; and grandson, Joseph Kemper.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 25, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 26, at the mortuary. Caleb Harper and Cole Harper will be officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis with military rites presented by the Greenfield Veterans Honor Guard.
