Ten West casting ‘The Aristocats Kids!’

FORTVILLE – Ten West Center for the Arts’ production of “The Aristocats Kids!” is open to the first 26 kids to complete the interest form on its website at tenwestcenter.org. The production is open to kids ages 6 to 12. Rehearsals are scheduled for May 30 through June 14, with performances planned for June 15 through 17. There is no cost to participate. CrazyLake seeks cast for ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’

GREENFIELD — The CrazyLake Acting Co. will hold auditions for the musical “The Drowsy Chaperone” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. May 3 and 5 and from 10 a.m. to noon May 6 at the Memorial Building, 98 E. North St. The first half of each audition will be choreography and vocal auditions and the second half will be reading from the script. No audition monologues are required, but auditioners should come prepared to sing 30-60 seconds of a song a cappella. Parts are available for five adult females, nine adult males and numerous supporting roles. Performance dates are July 13, 14, 15, 16, 21 and 22. Ten West auditioning for adult production

FORTVILLE – Ten West Center for the Arts, 10 W. Church St., will hold auditions for its adult production, “The Burnt Part Boys,” May 1 and 2 from 5 to 9 p.m. Auditioners should prepare a 30-second monologue and 30 seconds of two contrasting musical selections to be performed a cappella. “The Burnt Part Boys” tells the fictional tale of the lives of three children left behind when their fathers are killed in a coal mining accident. Kids invited to participate in youth talent show

GREENFIELD – Registration is now open for the Hancock County Youth Talent Show. Performers will compete in two age brackets: 9 to 13 and 14 to 18. A winner will be selected from each group. Participation is limited to 12 acts for each age category. The show is hosted by 2016 Riley Festival Queen Rylie Gendron as a give-back-to-the-community event. All proceeds from the event go to benefit KidsPlay Inc. children’s theater. The deadline to submit a registration form and a YouTube audition video is May 1. ‘Godspell’ slated as Ten West teen production

FORTVILLE – Auditions for the summer teen production of “Godspell” at Ten West Center for the Arts, 10 W. Church St. will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., May 1 and 2. Auditioners should prepare a 30-second monologue and two musical selections that reflect range and vocality. “Godspell” recounts the story of Jesus from the gospel of Matthew with vaudeville style presentation. Costume contest added to silent film event

GREENFIELD – The silent film “Little Orphant Annie” shows at 4 p.m. April 29 at the H. J. Ricks Centre for the Arts, 122 W. Main St. Included in the $15 ticket price is a costume contest open to all ages, male and female. Those who plan to participate should come dressed as their version of Little Orphant Annie.
