Shirley M. (Hopkins) McCord, 85, of New Palestine, died April 6, 2017. She was born January 13, 1932, in Macon County, Tenn., the daughter of the late William and Clara Myrtle (England) Hopkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald McCord; and her son, Dennis McCord.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, Karen Mathis (Terry) and Denise Neal (Rick); daughter-in-law, Terri McCord; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Dame; and her brother, Roger Hopkins.
Visitation was held from Noon to the time of service at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 10, at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
