Homemakers to host “Spring Garden Special”

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Purdue Extension plans a special program for local gardeners who want to bolster the struggling bee population.

Hancock County Extension Homemakers Past Presidents will host the Spring Garden Special at 6 p.m. April 6 in the 4-H Exhibition Building at the Hancock County Fairgrounds, 608 N. Apple St.

Educator Roy Ballard will present “Pots, Porches, Patios and Planters for Pollinators,” about how to provide for bees’ needs. Pam Mackey of Marlin’s Plant Kingdom will present “Pretty Pots and Flowering Florals.”

Those attending must RSVP by Monday by sending $3 program fee (checks only, made out to Hancock County Extension Homemakers) to 803 N. Apple St., Greenfield, 46140. For more information, contact Megan Addison at 317-462-1113 or [email protected].
