Hubert E. “Mr. H” Branscum, 69, of Greenfield, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on January 28, 1948 in Delta, KY as the son of Robert and Stella (Alton) Branscum.
He worked for Memorial Park Cemetery for 28 years, retiring as a grounds supervisor. Mr. Branscum was a member of Moose Lodge #987. He loved fishing, playing pool and spending time with his family and friends.
Hubert is survived by his daughter, Sara (Timothy) Haynie of Greenfield; daughter-in-law, Amy Garza-Branscum of Greenfield; brothers, Noel Branscum of Indianapolis, Leonard Branscum, Lester Branscum and Eddie Branscum all of Delta, KY; sisters, Glena Branscum and Wilma Flynn both of Delta, KY; two grandchildren, Dustin Branscum and Madison Williams both of Greenfield; 6 step-grandchildren, Lita, Nikita, Zita, Bradley, Hope, and Kyle; and two step-great-grandchildren, Kymber and Karson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Stella Branscum; infant brother, Elmo Branscum; and son, Clifford Matthew Branscum.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. at Park Cemetery, 621 S. State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Chaplain Katherine Murray will be officiating.
