Family art program offers kite-making workshop

GREENFIELD – Greenfield Parks & Recreation Dept.’s Family Art Workshop presents a kite-making workshop for all ages at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Patricia Elmore Center, 280 Apple St. The cost is $8 for residents and $10 for non-residents. Decorated bikes welcome spring into downtown

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Main Street is seeking local non-profits that would like to submit a bike for this year’s fourth annual Bikes in Bloom display throughout downtown Greenfield. Bikes promoting the local non-profits will be on display May 6 through June 10. Greenfield Main Street is also asking for bike donations. Those interested in displaying a bike or those with bikes to donate should email shelley@greenfieldmainstreet.org by March 31.

Art competition honors late Greenfield artist

GREENFIELD — The Hancock County Arts Council invites Hoosier artists to participate in the 2017 Will Vawter Art Competition and Exhibit. Artists may submit up to three entries in the categories of oil and acrylic, watercolor and other 2-D media for a $35 registration fee. Entries must be postmarked by March 25. Prizes range from $100 to $1000. The exhibit runs April 7 through May 12 at the Twenty North Gallery, 20 N.
