Irene J. (Petrie) Thomas, 89, of Fishers, died on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at her residence. She was born on December 16, 1927, in Sunfield, Mich., as the daughter of Carl C. and Mierl E. (Feess) Petrie.
Irene is survived by her husband, Earl Thomas of Fishers; four daughters, Cynthia L. (Michael) Thomas of Englewood, Fla., Valerie L. Stombaugh of Fishers, Vicki L. Coy of Indianapolis and Lori A. Thomas of Indianapolis; brother, Larry J. (Elnora) Petrie of Clyde, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert Petrie and Maynard Petrie; sister, Dorothy M. Petrie; son-in-law, Mark Coy; and sister-in-law, Margaret Petrie.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Christ’s Community Church, 13097 Allisonville Rd., Fishers, IN. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Christ’s Community Church, 13097 Allisonville Rd, Fishers, IN 46038. Pastor Nate Pyle will be officiating. Burial will take place at Fountaintown Cemetery in Fountaintown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made by mail to the Christ’s Community Church, 13097 Allisonville Rd, Fishers, IN 46038, or envelopes will be available at the church.
