Remember time change to make it to service

HANCOCK COUNTY — Those planning to go to a house of worship on Sunday are reminded to set their clocks forward one hour on Saturday night (March 11) to help them arrive on time for the service. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 a.m. Sunday.

Northside’s schedule changes this week

GREENFIELD — Starting Sunday, Northside Christian Church will have new service times. Sunday school will happen before the service, beginning at 9 a.m. The service will now begin at 10 a.m.

This week, a pitch-in will follow the service.

The church meets at 1304 Greenfield Drive.

Church offers soup suppers during Lent

FORTVILLE — Fortville United Methodist Church, 125 E. Staat St., will again offer soup suppers during Lent at 6 p.m. Wednesdays.

Each week a presentation follows the meal and concludes by 7 p.m. Features in coming weeks will be:

• Wednesday: Blessed Truth vocal group

• March 22: Fortville United Methodist Church Handbell Choir

• March 29: Dr. Shane Robbins, superintendent of Mt. Vernon schools

St. John offers free dinner to community

CUMBERLAND — St. John United Church of Christ will serve a free community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church, 11910 E. Prospect St.

Music group to sing gospel favorites

GREENFIELD — Gospel music group WaterIn2Wine will share music at 11 a.m. Sunday at Sugar Creek Baptist Church, 3928 S. County Road 100W.

No tickets are needed. A free-will offering will be accepted. For further information, call 317-641-4230.

McCordsville church to serve ham, beans

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will serve a community dinner of ham and beans from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday (March 11) at the church, 6247 W. Broadway.

Donations will be accepted.

The church will also serve a community breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. March 18.

Knightstown gospel sing open to public

KNIGHTSTOWN — Knightstown Church of God, 405 North St., will have a community fellowship and singing at 6 p.m. March 18. All churches, singers and the public are welcome to attend.

Snacks will follow the service at the church’s fellowship hall, 199 Grant St.
