Anita Jo (Owens) Van Alst, 60, of Indianapolis, died on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 11, 1956, in Anderson, to Russell Owens and Shirley (Kirk) Johnson.
Surviving Anita is her husband, Brian D. Van Alst; son, James Christopher Hughes; daughter, Aimee Jo Beckstrom; brother, Ralph Owens; sister, Lorei Sloan, 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Preceding Anita in death is her father listed above; and brother, Russell Owens;
