Katherine M. McKee, 100, formally of Charlottesville, passed away, Saturday, February 11, 2017, in Brooksville, Fla. Born Katherine Marie McGinley, April 22, 1916, in Browder, Ky. One of seven children of William A. and Mattie (Clark) McGinley.
Katie as she was known, married Charles (Chick) McKee, December 26, 1941. Who preceded her in death, November 1, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her eldest child, Lance Cpl. Charles William McKee, April 7, 1963.
Survivors include daughter, Marilyn (Patty) Davis of Knightstown; son, Mike McKee of Brooksville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great-grandson.
Mrs. McKee was very proud to be the matriarch of 5 generations, and was a very intricate part of all of our lives until about 3 years ago, when cancer began to ravish her.
Mrs. McKee was a member of Charlottesville Christian Chruch.
Final resting place will be Rose Hill Cemetery, Cental City, Ky.
